Fred Paul

Frederick Paul II joined Invest Detroit in March 2024 as Associate Director, Business Support Network. Reporting to the Network Director, he will play an integral role in strengthening the local small business ecosystem in a way that is equitable, inclusive, and impact-driven. He will lead much of the convening activities, data collection, and communications with the business support organizations to drive innovative solutions that fill gaps for underserved business owners and provide opportunities for business growth at all stages.

Paul’s journey from a struggling college student to the founder of Detroit’s Hottest Sneaker Exchange, Fahrenheit 313, showcases resilience and a commitment to community. As a true sneakerhead, Paul’s passion for footwear led him to establish Fahrenheit 313, a purpose-driven business that not only celebrates sneaker culture but also gives back to Detroit through charitable initiatives. Despite facing challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit persevered, allowing Fahrenheit 313 to thrive both online and with a brick-and-mortar presence on Detroit’s Historic Avenue of Fashion. Through initiatives like the City Champs Series, Street Corner Classic Charity Softball Tournament, and scholarships for Detroit Public Schools students, Paul has always demonstrated his dedication to making a positive impact in his hometown.

Now, as he takes on the role of Associate Director at Invest Detroit’s Business Support Network Office, Paul’s experience as a successful entrepreneur and community leader positions him to continue driving economic growth and empowerment in Detroit for historically underserved individuals. His ability to overcome setbacks and his commitment to service make him a valuable addition to the Invest Detroit team and exemplifies the spirit of Detroit.
