Rachel Wilson joined Invest Detroit in January 2022 as Associate, Administration and Operations. Rachel has spent the last eight years in the financial industry, working on the operations team for the Michigan branch of Equitable Advisors. Her introduction to the industry was as the branch receptionist, and she was quickly promoted to the onboarding team within her first month with the firm. For most of her career with Equitable, Rachel served as the onboarding team lead, where she led a team of four and implemented various recruiting, licensing, onboarding, and training systems for the branch. She also served as the executive assistant for the Senior VP, where she assisted in all areas of service, including scheduling, client work, event planning, and general administrative assistance. During her time in the finance industry, she earned her Michigan Life, Accident, & Health producer license and is also a notary public.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Music from Bowling Green State University and is a classically trained soprano. Music is a huge part of her life, and she serves as the lead soprano & soloist for her church in Troy. Rachel currently lives in Warren with her husband Eric, their young son James, and their two cats. They are excited to be expecting their second son in 2022.
