Saul Hernandez joined Invest Detroit in October 2022 as Associate Vice President, Credit Underwriter. Saul has over 16 years of experience in the banking industry, specifically in underwriting and portfolio management. Saul’s primary responsibility at Comerica Bank was to manage the existing book of clients for a middle market loan group in Downtown Birmingham. He was responsible for maintaining the integrity of the portfolio by managing the internal loan renewals and monitoring the client’s financial statements and covenants.
Saul obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing from Wayne State University in 2003.
Saul was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He is the first generation in his family to be born in the United States. His parents immigrated from Mexico to Detroit in the late 70’s in search of a better life for their family.
